Events

Our approach to corporate networking events is simple: create experiences people genuinely look forward to attending, built around trust, shared history, and real business value. By bringing together like-minded individuals within a familiar community, we remove the awkwardness of traditional networking and replace it with meaningful connections that deliver results — personally and professionally.
• A trusted, like-minded network – Events are built around a community of people with shared backgrounds, many of whom you’ll have known since your school days, creating instant rapport and credibility.
• Genuine support, not surface-level networking – There is a real culture of interest in helping one another succeed, whether that’s through advice, introductions, or collaboration — both personally and professionally.
• Commercially sustainable by design – Every event is enjoyable on a personal level while also being structured to drive tangible value for your business, making attendance time well spent.
• Events you actually look forward to – High-quality, well-planned experiences that feel more like a privilege than an obligation, with a strong emphasis on enjoyment and atmosphere.
• Run during the working week – Hosted during business hours so you can attend while you’re on the clock, network effectively, and deliver clear value back to your business.
Our personal events are designed to strengthen the social fabric of the Nexus community, creating opportunities for members to reconnect, stay active, and support their overall wellbeing. These events are member-led, flexible, and built around shared interests — making participation feel natural, enjoyable, and genuinely rewarding
• Member-created groups – Members can form smaller groups within the network, giving them the tools to create and manage their own activities, such as a hiking group for past pupils who graduated a specific school in 2001.
• Wellbeing-focused experiences – Nexus will organise personal events that actively support physical and mental wellbeing, from fitness and outdoor activities to social and mindfulness-based experiences.
• Community-driven programming – We actively listen to member suggestions and support the ideas that gain traction, ensuring events and services reflect what the community genuinely wants.
• Low-pressure, high-connection events – Designed to encourage natural interaction and reconnection without the formality or expectations of traditional networking.
• Strengthening lifelong connections – Personal events help members reconnect with familiar faces, build new friendships, and deepen existing relationships beyond a professional setting.
